LIST OF NATIONAL HIGHWAYS INDIA




The list of National Highways Network of the Union Republic of India developed and maintained by the National Highway Authority Of India(NHAI). These Highways are the backbone of the Indian economy and Transportation.


A new project was announced by the NDA government led by Mr. ATAL BIHARI BAJPAI to convert all National highways into " Swarna Chatuspatha" or Golden Quadrilateral, North-South Corridor and East-West Corridor. (Source, The Hindu, Dt. June 7, 2008: K. H. Muniyappa, Union Minister of State for Surface Transport). A total of 65,000Km will be converted under this Project.

National Animal of Lebanon - Striped Hyena

The Lebanese Republic or Lebanon is a country situated in the Middle East. The capital of Lebanon is Beirut and the currency is Lebanese pound. The national animal of this western Asia country is Striped Hyena.  The scientific name of Striped Hyena is Hyaena Hyaena. This species of Hyena is native to the north & east Africa, Indian subcontinent, the middle east, the Caucasus and Central Asia. The striped hyena is nocturnal and social, these scavengers live in small groups of 2 to 7 members. The striped hyena is mammal's commonly found in arid and mountainous scrub woodland, live in dens made by burrowing or occupying burrow's made by other animals.
